The efficacy of video surveillance systems largely depends on the analytical performance of the processor units of cameras that enable proactive decision-making for processing in the camera itself. The presentation set-up shows the capabilities of surveillance for critical infrastructure, using long-range cameras that contain a camera using the visible spectrum and a thermal vision camera for remote surveillance in conditions of hindered visibility.
The camera system has exceptional optical performance, ensuring detection of objects up to several kilometres away. The camera also has an integrated video analysis function that enables the processing of incidents within the camera itself.
Managing transport demand, optimising traffic flows of vehicles and also pedestrian traffic, is performed using advanced video analysis technology based on AI technology. Using advanced video analysis cameras with support for processing deep learning algorithms has made it possible to perform advanced real time processing of all attributes of vehicles (licence plates, vehicle categories, colour and model), as well as attributes of pedestrians (gender, age, direction of movement). This provides high quality analytical data that can lay the foundation for future transport planning and optimisation.
Just how the biometric data contained within biometric documents are processed, and how the authenticity of data of document owners is verified through interactions with facial recognition systems and comparisons with data stored in the smart chip of the biometric document will be demonstrated in a production environment using the cloud infrastructure.
Biometric authentication and processing biometric data do not only imply application in security systems. These data can also be effectively used in different areas of operation, including optimising flows of people at airports, in shopping centres, or parks, by optimising traffic flows, reducing queues and ultimately ensuring better services for customers. In doing so, it is imperative that the concept of personal data protection be respected, through the anonymisation of faces (blurring) during photo processing, which will be demonstrated in the demo room.
